Trivium Think Tank Pvt. Ltd. is an independent research institution dedicated to exploring the strategic imperatives of a Rising India through the lens of geopolitics, foreign policy and technopolitical transformation.
Founded in December 2016 and headquartered in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, Trivium was born from a conviction: that researchers in India require a decentralized, non-partisan space to shape the next generation of policy discourse.
Trivium operates at the intersection of technology, security, diplomacy, governance and society—a niche yet vital space where emerging and critical technologies intersect with strategic thinking and societal progress.
Our research spans the full spectrum of high-tech domains including AI, space, nuclear, biotech, synthetic biology, advanced materials, semiconductors and science diplomacy.
What sets Trivium apart is its commitment to bridging the scientific and social sciences communities, ensuring that research is not siloed but synthesized—made actionable and holistic for policymakers and public stakeholders.
We believe in research that resonates beyond academia. At Trivium, science communication and societal dissemination are not afterthoughts—they are foundational. We translate complexity into clarity, liberating insights from jargon so they can serve the very society they aim to impact.
As an Indian institution, our ethos mirror the principles guiding India’s foreign policy, especially its mission to champion the interests of the Global South in global debates on technology governance and equitable access.
Our voice reflects India's pluralism, strategic depth and cultural sensitivity—advocating for uniquely Indian solutions that are ideational, technological and humane.
